  • End of 2022 and Start of 2023

    Happy Holidays to everyone! I mean it man. Spend that time (if you can) to do the things for yourself and others that bring you the MOST joy.

    As a species we have been through (and are still going through) a whole lot. We have had to ask ourselves so many questions about our lives and search for existential definition in this new emerging world. The global political landscape is in flux, the financial world is moving toward disaster and the social commentary on ALL aspects of culture worldwide is grasping at ideologies that promote equality and fairness. Everything moves so fast too doesn’t it? There is hardly any time to adjust before the next change and FORGET reflecting. Being ALIVE in this day and age is like playing a SHMUP on the hardest difficulty; dodge, find a safe place, attack, find helpful powerups, and engage the continues (do overs).

    But you must always keep moving forward and on to the next thing (step). That is the key.

    I’ve been failing at this lately.

    I would say about 75% of 2022 was good. The back half wasn’t. Which is sad as the last few months of the year I look forward to the most! It is supposed to be a joyous time of year. Unfortunately the depression bug, stress, drama and all sorts of “fun” life stuff slammed me pretty good. But I’m still here. Alive and kicking. Sadly the community here got pushed aside. It is pretty clear to me why.

    My kids are growing up. Simple as that.

    The main reason the channel even existed was for them and with so much content here already my DRIVE to keep pushing on has waned substantially. They also need me less and less so my position in life in general is shifting and while I feel like I spend a lot of time in a cage that isn’t the reality. The door is WIDE open… I just haven’t been outside in a long time.

    So what do we do in times like these? That is the question.

    There are several answers:

    1. Give up. Put it down. There isn’t any shame in quitting for the right reasons. EVER. However, that doesn’t feel right to me. I don’t lack ambition or time. I lack purpose and direction.
    2. Double down hard and take a look at what I WANT from this experience.
    3. Triple down hard and take a look at what I WANT from this experience.

    We’ll go with three.

    This year I want to expand beyond the Nintendo Switch. I want to get new artwork made, I want to get a PS5 capture card, I want to get an xbox with game pass so that I can play all the latest and greatest in a cost effective manner.

    It always makes me feel good to be first. I like to be the person “that shows” and not just my commedically undersized manhood. I want to be the answer to the question, “What’s that game REALLY like?”

    Anyway, that’s all I got for now. You get inspired to write these things and if you don’t push it out quickly it goes away.

    Would like to make some sort of “schedule…” that I can look at for recording times.

  • Vibe Check

    It is Halloween time. Which means it is candy corn season. Which means it is the BEST time of year. I always get stoked when the holidays are starting. We get a heck of a roll at the end of each year. Candy (corn) -> Turkey (delicious) -> Presents ( YES! ).

  • 4 Year Channel Anniversary

    When I started this adventure back on June 1st, 2018 I told myself I’d only do it for a year and see how it went. My mission was pure: “Create enough of myself in the online space that if something happened to me my kids would still have a Dad if they needed it.”

  • New website. Who dis?

    Figured it was time to put up a proper website and get on official web presence outside of YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. It will be a slow process but I want to make sure I answer some common questions in the FAQs and get some personal information About me.
